Palace has announced that the Duke of Edinburgh will be kept for treatment of an infection at the hospital for several more days.
Prince Philip, 99, was admitted to hospital in central London a week ago for observation after being infected for unkown reasons. Palace of Beckingham said that the Duke will remain at the hospital for medical attention and rest after the infection. He is confortable and responding to treatment but is not expected to leave for several days. No further details were given.
Both he and the Queen received their vaccine shots in January, which eliminated the possibility of Covid-related admission.
